that was like the longest week of my life 8/

xD. I hardly know where to start with the whole thing...the first day we were there we went to cow town, yes it's actually called cow town, in Wichita.

which by the way, is an awesome city, if it weren't for the weather in Kansas I'd move to Wichita in a heart beat! The city isn't overly crowded, they have a lot of local businesses and some super neat architecture, I meant to take pictures of it but we were only in Wichita for like, 2 days. then we went to Garden city, where my uncle lives.....I wouldn't live there if someone payed me to. The place smells bad, like cows, and it's in the middle of no where and the only starbucks they have there is in Target! D:

Oh and no order green tea lattes there I discovered. My powder was old and clumpy, and the people making it had to look up the recipe xD

Anyway, the second day we were there we decided to surprise my family with our presence. (they didn't know we were coming you see) It was pretty funny, we were going to wait until the next day but decided not to. When my uncle saw us he just sort of froze and started laughing, he started tearing up though it was sweet <3 then my grandma came down to the lobby of their hotel at the request of my uncle who said their was a problem with their bill, she saw us and freaking waked right passed us. xD

We were all like "...what do we do now?" xD and my uncle says, "hey are just going to cut in line?" And she turns around thinking she cut and sees us and starts creaming xD and throwing her hands into the air, it was hilarious. Then we went into their hotel room and when my grandpa saw us he practically leaped to his feet, which none of us were expecting, he doesn't get excited over much but it actually seemed genuine!

then the next day we all went to hospital early in the morning.

Yes the hospital, because my aunt was taken in an ambulance to the local emergency room because she was having such bad headaches that she was throwing up and couldn't open her eyes and she could barely walk. She has a brain tumor on her pituitary gland.

they new this! no worries it wasn't a surprise, she had just stated taking a new medication to get rid of it, it's not cancer but she has already had it removed and it came back, it messes with her moods really bad, since your pituitary gland controls your release of hormones, it's basically like she's having monstrous PMS - ALL THE TIME. And it gives her horrible headaches and with where it is if it's not taken care of it could make her go blind.

so she started this medication, but she just happens to be part of the...about 1% of people that has these really seriously horrible side affects to this medicine. It totally messes with her balance so she leans to on side really bad and can't walk in a straight line, plus that makes her seriously nausious, so they gave her some other medication to offset the side affects, and sent her home, but they kept her there for a couple days.

then we went to garden city, which about a five hour drive, and let me tell you, although there are pretty PARTS of kansas, the state as a whole is pretty much one big wheat field. Not so beautiful, but the sky really is pretty....

Saw a thunder storm while there too, which are much different than the ones we get here...LOTS OF BUGS THERE.

Anyway, I stayed in our new hotel for one night and got NO sleep because my dad snores like a traktor (we had seperate rooms at the other hotel) so the next night I requested to sleep at my aunt and uncles house in their spare room, which was really nice. Unfortunately I felt sick pretty much the whole time we were there. My uncle introduced me to alkaseltzer (sp) which works rather well, but tastes like pine sol.

Me and my sister helped my uncle clean a very large bank at around 11 pm one night and we almost got locked in xD He also introduced us all to a family from myanmar or burma.... I thin it's myanmar now, but it used to be burma... they were soooooo nice, they all barely spoke english, and have only been in the US for 6 months, they were pretty amazing for that. They invited us in, were so polite.

Their oldest daughter who is my age, sort of "presented" us with bananas and drinks, lol, they were all on trays which she set on the floor in front of all of us and sort of bowed when she set them down.

Apparently before they came here they had all been living in a refugee camp, the father living there for 20 years, so I'm pretty sure all their children had grown up in one. He said they all slept on the floor because it was much more comfortable than the floor of the refugee camp. How sad is that?

But they were all so nice, I really wish we could stay there and get to know them like my aunt and uncle.

A really funny thing, Than Win, (the father) was telling us that this guy went to hell, and we were all like "...what?" xD and he kept saying it over and over like it was nothing but he could tell we didn't understand and then my dad goes "...help?" and he nods "yes yes" and we all just died laughing.

quite the difference there....

anyway, we are home now and I get to sleep in my own bed again yay! there is more to say but this is really long, so bye now!
